Terms & Conditions

Last updated 6 October 2026SnowTogs Boot Room, Southampton
The short version
Our boot fittings are by appointment and our products are sold in the showroom, not online. Boots we sell and fit come with our two-year Boot Fit Guarantee. Change-of-mind refunds on most shop items are available for 7 days, and nothing here affects your legal rights if something is faulty.

About us

This website, skishops.co.uk, is run by SnowTogs (“SnowTogs”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a family-run ski shop and boot fitter at 429–431 Millbrook Road, Southampton SO15 0HX.

You can contact us by email at info@snowtogs.co.uk.

These terms apply when you use our website, book an appointment, have work done in our Boot Workshop or buy from our showroom. Please read them before you book or buy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the website or our services.

Using this website

Our website is here to tell you about our boot fitting, our Boot Workshop and the products we stock, and to let you book an appointment. We don’t sell products online. Products and prices shown on the website are for information, and are available to buy in our Southampton showroom.

We work hard to keep the website accurate and up to date, but product details, ranges, sizes and prices can change, and we can’t promise that everything shown will be available when you visit. If you’re coming in for something specific, email us first and we’ll check.

The snow report, weather forecasts and resort information on the website come from third-party data and are for general interest only. Always check the resort’s own report and local conditions before you travel or ski.

You must not misuse the website — for example by trying to gain unauthorised access to it, introducing viruses or other harmful code, or using automated tools to copy its content.

Booking an appointment

All boot fittings and Boot Workshop work are by appointment. You can book online, or by email.

  • A full boot fitting takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, one to one with a fitter. Other appointments, such as adjustments, are shorter.
  • When you book, we’ll email you a confirmation. Please check the details and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
  • Please bring your ski socks, and your current boots and footbeds if you have them — it helps us understand what has and hasn’t worked for you.
  • If you answer the optional questions after booking, it helps your fitter prepare. You don’t have to.
  • Booking a fitting doesn’t commit you to buying anything. If we don’t think we have the right boot for your feet, we’ll tell you.

Some appointments are paid for online when you book; others are paid for in the shop on the day. The price, and how you pay, is always shown before you confirm.

Changing or cancelling an appointment

Appointments are limited, so if you need to change or cancel, please let us know as early as you can — and at least 48 hours before your appointment — using the “Manage your booking” link in your confirmation email, or by emailing info@snowtogs.co.uk.

  • If you give us at least 48 hours’ notice, we’ll move your appointment or refund any payment in full.
  • If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or don’t come to your appointment, we may keep any payment you made, because we’ll usually be unable to offer the slot to someone else.
  • If you arrive late, we’ll do what we can in the time left, but we may need to rebook part of the work so that it’s done properly.
  • If we have to cancel or move your appointment — for example because of illness or something outside our control — we’ll contact you as soon as possible, offer you another time, and refund any payment if the new time doesn’t suit you.

Buying in the showroom

When you buy from our showroom, the contract is made in the shop when you pay. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. Prices can change without notice, but the price you pay is the price shown at the till.

If a product is shown on the website or in store at the wrong price because of a mistake, we’re not obliged to sell it at that price. We’ll tell you the correct price and you can decide whether you still want it.

Refunds, exchanges and returns

As well as your legal rights (see “Faulty goods” below), we offer the following if you simply change your mind:

  • Within 7 days of purchase — a refund on most shop items, to the payment method you used.
  • From 8 to 21 days after purchase — an exchange for an item of similar price, or a credit note.
  • Items must be returned unused and in as-new condition, with tags and packaging, and with your receipt or proof of purchase.

Change-of-mind refunds and exchanges don’t apply to:

  • ski boots that have been fitted, moulded or adjusted for you, custom footbeds, or skis that have been fitted with bindings for you — because they’ve been set up for you personally;
  • sale items and free promotional items;
  • workshop services that have already been carried out.

None of this affects your legal rights if an item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.

Faulty goods and warranties

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something you bought from us is faulty, please stop using it and tell us as soon as possible.

  • Within 30 days of purchase, you’re entitled to a full refund for faulty goods.
  • After 30 days and within six months, we’ll repair or replace the item, and if that isn’t possible or doesn’t work, you can have a refund.
  • After six months, you may still have rights, and we’ll deal with each case fairly — usually together with the manufacturer.

Many products also come with a manufacturer’s warranty. This is in addition to your legal rights, is provided by the manufacturer rather than by us, and may have its own terms. We’re happy to help you make a warranty claim.

Normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents, misuse or not following the care instructions, and changes to the product made by anyone other than us, aren’t faults.

Our Boot Fit Guarantee

Ski boots bought from SnowTogs and fitted by one of our fitters come with our Boot Fit Guarantee, which includes boot adjustments for two years from the date of purchase. The guarantee is about the fit of your boots, and these are its conditions:

  • It lasts for two years from the date you bought your boots.
  • Your boots must have been bought from SnowTogs, and assessed and fitted by a SnowTogs boot fitter.
  • A new footbed — custom or off-the-shelf — is an essential part of the fit, and is needed for the guarantee to apply.
  • If you have a problem, you need to bring your boots (and footbeds) in and give us a fair chance to examine, adjust and re-fit them.
  • The boots must not have been unreasonably worn, damaged, misused, or used for anything other than their intended purpose.
  • The guarantee covers the fit of your boots. It doesn’t cover wear and tear, changes in what you need from your boots (for example, wanting a higher-performance boot as your skiing improves), or changes in the shape of your feet.

The Boot Fit Guarantee is in addition to your legal rights, which it doesn’t affect. More about it on our Boot Fit Guarantee page.

Boot Workshop work

We’ll carry out all workshop work — including foot scans, stretching, grinding, heat-moulding and binding fitting — with reasonable care and skill, and as described when you book or when we agree the work with you.

  • Boots and equipment bought elsewhere. We’re happy to work on them, at the prices shown on our Boot Workshop page. We’ll look at them first and tell you if we don’t think the work is a good idea. Older boots and plastics can become brittle with age and use, so if we warn you about a risk and you ask us to go ahead, we can’t be responsible for damage caused by the condition the item was already in.
  • Binding fitting. We fit and set bindings to industry standards using the information you give us (such as your weight, height, age, ability and boot sole length). Please make sure it’s accurate. Settings should be checked again if anything changes, and you should always check your equipment before you ski.
  • 3D foot scans. We’ll email you the results of your scan, and you’re welcome to use them elsewhere, such as at a rental shop.
  • Collection. If you leave equipment with us, please collect it within 30 days of us telling you it’s ready. If it’s not collected after that, we’ll contact you, and we may charge a reasonable storage fee or, after giving you notice, dispose of it.

Our ski servicing (waxing and edge sharpening) is not currently available.

Skiing is a risk sport

Skiing and snowboarding carry a risk of injury. Well-fitted boots and correctly set bindings help, but they can’t remove that risk. Please ski within your ability, follow the resort’s rules, and make sure you have suitable travel and winter sports insurance.

Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it’s obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when we made our agreement.

  • We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in the law or in how we work. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. The terms in force when you book or buy are the ones that apply to that booking or purchase.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a complaint, please email us first at info@snowtogs.co.uk — we’ll always try to put things right.
